Starting with their inaugural creation in 1988, Herzog & de Meuron's narrative has embraced objects, leading to the launch of H&dM Objects as a curated, accessible collection. I led its evolution into a business, shaping its brand and online presence around a core ethos: design exploration, experimentation, and a deep respect for materials and craftsmanship. The outcome is a brand and website that invite discovery and appreciation of design.

The current global crisis, halting product manufacturing, has spotlighted the product industry's fragility, propelling my research to find solutions for designers. My project, "Made to Fit," aims to address the shortcomings of traditional manufacturing processes by highlighting additive manufacturing's potential as a viable method for mass-producing design objects.

In partnership with Danese Milano, Knook celebrates the art of woodturning. This admiration is evident in the architectural details of both historical and modern buildings, leading to a collection of turned geometric shapes. Among these, the knook knob and hook, crafted in ceramic for Danese Milano, stand out. This choice of material not only provides a unique tactile experience but also ensures suitability for wet areas. The design, inspired by turned forms, showcases a curved silhouette that complements ceramic's processing and characteristics.

The Nose to Tail chair is the result of a determined effort to reduce waste, utilizing a single sheet of plywood to its fullest extent. This approach leads to a uniquely simple design, with two intersecting planes that form both the structure and the elements of the backrest and seat.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Asian wooden gates and the art of woodworking, the Hong Kong Stool embodies a harmonious blend of form and function. It’s not just a stool but a logic puzzle, designed to be assembled and reassembled, culminating in a sturdy, cohesive object. A singular wooden spike unites all components in one move, like the classic Chinese wooden puzzles.
